A ninja with points in Noble Bandit and/or Criminal contacts can have the cost of their actions greatly reduced, or even eliminated-a useful trait for assassinating expensive targets or sabotaging large armies. They may also reveal themselves if they fail a mission.
Sabotaging armies not only causes them to be unable to move, but also leaves them unable to reinforce neighboring armies, greatly reducing the difficulty of fighting multiple stacks of units.īy default, ninjas are invisible to other factions, but they can be discovered by other ninjas or metsuke. While their skills in removing other agents is shared by most agents, their ability to sabotage armies and buildings is unique to ninja. Ninjas assassinate other characters, sabotages buildings and fort structures, sabotage armies (which causes their movement points to be used up), establish criminal networks in friendly provinces, and generally act as spies. Hattori ninjas have a +2% chance of success. Provinces with the Mountain Hideout line of buildings and/or the Infamous Mizu Shobai District recruit ninja who have higher levels of experience. Ninjas can be trained in any region with a Sake Den, for 500 koku. Ninjas are a type of character in Total War: Shogun 2.
